I am now pleased to be able to offer my energy healing work, Reiki, to my mobile massage services.

Reiki is an ancient healing modality from Japan using subtle energetic frequencies channeled from the healer through the palms to the client in order to help people feel deep relaxation, relieve stress and reduce feelings of anxiety. 

So what is Reiki?

Reiki is a complementary therapy relating to energy healing. A natural & non invasive subtle energetic therapy that is suitable for everyone. 

The word ‘Rei’ meaning universal and ‘Ki’ meaning life force energy .

Reiki is a simple natural & safe method of spiritual healing & self improvement and encourages self healing. It has been known to help reduce physical pain in the body as well as reduce mental stress, insomnia and other mental health stress related issues.

For my Reiki practice I sometimes include chakra crystals which are placed upon your chakra points during the treatment to enhance the treatment. Crystals are selected to align to the frequency of each chakra and to help amplify the energy movement and help remove any blockages or stagnation in the energy flow of the body through the chakra points.

The body has an electromagnetic field surrounding it which has also been called the aura or auric field. The energy in this field  is in constant flow and flows through the chakras points within the body too as well as around it. The electromagnetic field is affected by our feelings emotions and overall wellbeing, physical health and state of mind.  When the electromagnetic field is disturbed or not flowing freely around the body then Reiki can help harmonious and remove blockages and stimulate the energy flow it needs.
 
These sessions can induce a deep state of relaxation and wellbeing, the client is held in a safe space, either clothed or after a massage, on a massage table with either hands on or hands free approach. You may feel heat moving in the body, feelings of tranquility, floating, deep rest and you may feel some dreams or visions and thoughts pass through your mind as you receive the treatment. This process helps to initiate your own journey into self care & self healing  as Reiki simply increases your ability to self heal through the increased flow of energy throughout your body. Clients report sleeping better, feeling less anxious and physical pain can be addressed and worked on too

When crystals are used the crystals are cleansed and charged for your session and will be attuned and place on each chakra point with intention to increase energy flow where there are energy blockages. I might offer you a glass of spring water which has been charged with crystals and set with intentions.  The water can be charged with healing frequencies which purifies the waters memory and helps enhance your healing experience. Interesting work by Dr Emoto has been done in changing the crystaline structure of water by using intention setting  with vibration and frequency. So a glass of crystal spring water (hopefully gathered from a Cornish spring) will help your body heal and enhance your experience.

As I am also an Aromatherapist I can introduce some essential oils during your session for aromatic and stress reducing properties. 

These sessions can be simply Reiki or add on half an hour after a massage to enhance your experience of healing both body and mind 
 
Local clients can receive the introductory offer after your massage of just £20 for a 30 minute add on.

I was delighted to be asked to run my Introduction to Aromatherapy &  Massage at this wellbeing festival next July, I will be introducing organic essential oils, the importance of using organic wherever possible, the therapeutic components as plant medicine and ways of application. You will make your own blend and use this to practice massage with some introductory information on the lymphatic system for the physical detoxification process and the cellular work essential oils do. I will also introduce the mind body connection and the affect essentials can have on mood and mindset.

So, even though I am temporarily closed, I thought I can always keep busy learning new things to keep me ticking along and to stay positive, as we all wait patiently for lockdown to end.  So with that in mind, I have recently designed some 'Bespoke Gift Vouchers' that people can buy now and that can be redeemed after lockdown. As you will see, above is the 'Valentines Gift Voucher'.  It is very unlikely I will be open for Valentines, but these vouchers can be gifted and used after lockdown ends for something to look forward to!

Guests planning on booking in at holiday homes for Spring onwards, please enquire, as I can pencil you in the diary and confirm closer to the time, dependant on changes in the restrictions etc.  You can also pre buy vouchers for your visit to Cornwall, as a gift, or even a surprise during your stay.  Local clients can also pre book dates and buy gift vouchers as well for redeeming after lockdown ends, as we will probably re enter the tier system at some point here in Cornwall too.  I look forward to seeing my regular local clients again soon!

I have to say I haven't been blogging much lately either, as I have been trying to keep myself busy learning new skills and actually learning how to improve my own website as well!  I am thinking about this blog page and what interesting articles I could write about essential oils, therapeutics, massage and wellbeing in Cornwall.   My first idea was to write about the Japanese Forest Bathing, as we have plenty of beautiful woodlands here in Cornwall too, so watch this space as I get my ideas together! 

I am also busy preparing some homemade and handmade sunlight infused organic base oils of Rosehip Seed, Rose, Lemongrass and Hibiscus, in preparation for when I re open.   This is both a fun and interesting project researching the plants and oils which have good antiviral and immune boosting properties, as well as the amazing skin nourishing effects of these oils and plants.

​I am also training in Crystal Healing Therapy and developing projects towards eventually doing my Masters Degree (Comp Health).  Crystal Healing Therapy will be included within my massage work and will be added to my list of therapies by the spring.  I have also achieved my Reiki Level 1 and hope to go onto Reiki Level 2 (Practitioner) during this long and hopefully, very last lockdown. These are all things I can do during lockdown as well as develop some other online skills (I'm a bit of a technophobe!) and until I can get my hands on you lovely clients again.  I cannot open my doors quite yet, but I can put together and design some lovely bespoke vouchers for gifting and write some blogs on wellbeing that always keep my inspiration levels up too.
